Description
Bredon Hill is a hill in Worcestershire, England, which features in the works of a multitude of composers, poets, writers and artists. The poem “Bredon Hill” by Englishman A. E. Housman was published as part of Housman’s famous 1896 anthology, “A Shropshire Lad.”

BREDON HILL was commissioned by Daniel Shirley as part of his New Voices From Shropshire project, for which Daniel commissioned American composers of diverse aesthetic and cultural backgrounds to set A.E. Housman poetry. Other commissioned composers include Michael Slayton, Mark Richardson, Melinda Wagner, Fahad Siadat, Kamala Sankaram, Matt Boehler, Mark Alan Taggart, Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), Edward Jacobs, Andre Myers, Tom Cipullo, Scott Gendel, and Melissa Shiflet.
